Long before great empires ruled the earth, a small family of wanderers crossed the deserts of the ancient world—following a promise that would change history. From Ur to Canaan, Abraham led his household in faith, trusting in a God unseen and believing that his descendants would one day inherit a land of their own.
 
Generations later, those descendants became slaves in Egypt until a man named Moses rose to lead them to freedom. Through the parted waters of the Red Sea, the Israelites began their long journey home. In the wilderness, they received the Ten Commandments—laws that would bind them together and set them apart from every other nation.
 
At last, they entered Canaan and built a new life. Kings soon rose to lead them: Saul, the first to unite the tribes; David, the shepherd-warrior who claimed Jerusalem; and Solomon, the wise ruler who built a temple for their God. But unity faded, and the nation divided—Israel in the north, Judah in the south. Assyria conquered one, Babylon carried the other into exile.
 
By the rivers of Babylon, they wept for home—but they did not forget who they were. In time, they returned, rebuilt, and renewed their covenant. Through every triumph and trial, the people of Israel held fast to their faith.
 
Their story is more than ancient history—it is a journey of belief, perseverance, and promise. From Abraham’s tent to Solomon’s temple, from exile to return, the story of Israel became the foundation of faith and moral law that still shapes the world today.
