Ernest Hemingway - The Man, The Myth, The Lengend...

Ernest Miller Hemingway was born on the 21 of July in 1899 in the city of Chicago and then died on the 2nd of July in 1961. Hemingway started working for his high school newspaper the Trapeze and Tabula and he stuck with writing thereafter. After he graduated from high school, he went to work at the Kansas City Star.[1]

When the US entered World War One, he tried to get into the military multiple times, but they never let him in because of his bad eye. Instead, he joined the Red Cross and drove an ambulance in Italy where he was wounded.[2] Taken to the hospital and fell in love with a nurse Agnes Von Kurowsky at the Red Cross hospital and she accepted his proposal but then refused to marry him because of another man. He then moved to northern Michigan and got married to another woman named Hadley Richardson. He then moved to France from Chicago and started working for the Toronto Star newspaper and wrote his book A Short Story.

While visiting Paris after the war, Hemingway met some fellow American writers; including F. Scott Fitzgerald Gertrude Stein and Ezra Pound.[3] These meetings helped Hemingway to write more books including a collection of stories called In Our Time. He then had a son with Hadley, John Hadley Nicanor Hemingway. After a while Ernest Hemingway had a divorce with Hadley, he then married another woman named Pauline Pfeiffer. He then committed suicide on July 2, 1961.
