Boston Tea Party - Britain authorized the East India Co. to export millions of pounds of tea to the colonies without the usual taxes, which gave the company a monopoly over tea sales. Colonial companies could not afford to buy and sell for a fair price. This sparked a revolution among the colonists and many, including the Sons of Liberty disguised as
Mohawk Indians, boarded the British ships and dumped the cargo of tea overboard into Boston Harbor.
